Web Hosting: Additional Elements

We all know that the main three factors to consider when choosing the right low cost web hosting plan are disk space limit, monthly transfer quota, and the availability of FTP access. Aside from these three main elements, there are additional elements that you might want to look into when choosing the right web hosting plan to purchase.

For starters, make sure the web hosing plan supports the server-side programming language your website is using. If you are developing a site using PHP or if you plan on using available CMS script to support you site, for example, PHP support is a must.

You will also need good support for multiple database frameworks. MySQL is the most common one used by many web applications. Make sure the web hosting package you plan on using allows you to create multiple – preferably unlimited – number of databases, especially if you plan on hosting more than one web application or site.

Last but not least, make sure the web-based control panel the web hosting company is using offers easy access to all the necessary features. CPanel is the most common one used by almost every web hosting company, although there are numerous other control panels available on the market.
